Obviously, I dont! When i wasn't working yet, i go to bed so late at night but get up almost noontime so i guess that was more than enough sleep i was getting. Now that i am working, my sleeping schedule hardly changed but i have to get up before 7AM or else i will be late for work. I couldn't get used to sleeping early although i always doze off to sleep while watching TV, or movie or even when i'm in front of my pc. Obvioudly, i need more sleep to keep me awake while at work. What a gloomy day today! It is raining outside and it has been like this the past week! But i'm glad i did not let the miserable weather affect my mood or is it? I actually did good today! I did the laundry, dshes, did some cleaning up, gave Pierre his need bath, did two tasks and now getting ready to pick up movies for tonight. Reminishing my own childhood never fails to put a smile on my face. As a child, i grew up seeing my family with vehicle but it wasn't our own but the company vehicle that my father was driving. And yes, there was no seatbelt, no airbags, and kids could sit anywhere (back or front seats or on elder's lap). Getting bruises from running and playing around, was considered part of a normal childhood so no big deal with it. We would play with other kids, siblings or cousins most of the time, but never alone, whether it's inside or outside the house. We used to play bahay bahayan (play house?) where one would act as one of the members in the family, or would re enact a classroom scene where one would play as the teacher (ala Miss Tapia, remember her?) wearing my mother's high heeled shoes; and the rest as students. Sometimes we would use leaves or paper as play money.
We would also play hide and seek and it was fun. If weather was good, we would play tumbang preso, patintero, shatum (not sure how it was called), luksong tinik and even hide and seek. We could make balls out of coconut leaves and permed our hair using cassava stem. Fighting among kids was always expected but we would make sure parents would'nt know about it. As far as i remember, i was into a physical fight at least once during my childhood. We enjoyed the freedom and knew our responsibility, so if we did something bad, we knew the consequences. We knew when it was time for us kids to be in the house because i grew up seeing my family eating together especially at supper. We enjoyed the simplest things in life like listening to a radio drama (24 Oras, this was scary!) with friends. Later, We had TV but it was black and white and broadcasted only one channel so we learned to watch and got to enjoy each and every show on it. TV would be shared with neighbors who didnt have one. And I dont remember asking my parents for help in my school assignments. And yes I survived. How about you?
