Charice Pempenco shows off her talent at Oprah show....

This young pinay singing sensation has won the heart and admiration of Oprah and her viewers when she showed off her amazing talent recently at Oprah's show.  I am a big fan of Oprah and i used to watch her show everyday when i wasn't working yet.  Watching Oprah is one thing i miss most.  My chat buddy Roselle, while chatting with her today mentioned that Charice guested at the Oprah show as one of the featured talented kids in the world.  I searched a video at You Tube right away and she is totally amazing! Truly unbelievable!  If you haven't seen it, here is a video i wanna share with you.

Happy Mothers' Day!

To everyone who greeted me especially to Redlan, Au, Recel, Juliana, Norma, Annah, Roselle and a lot more, thanks a lot! This is our day moms out there so we have to make the most of it!  That is why, i'm not planning on anything stressfult oday, LOL! I have done all the laundry and cleaning up yesterday so today will be a totally relaxing day for me, i sure hope so!  Now, here is a nice message for all the mothers and their mothers out there.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY !!!
MOTHERS and MOMS

This is for the mothers who have sat up
all night with sick toddlers in their arms,
wiping up barf laced with Oscar Mayer
wieners and cherry Kool-Aid saying,
'It's okay honey, Mommy's here.'

Who have sat in rocking chairs for hours on end
soothing crying babies who can't be comforted.

This is for all the mothers who show up at
work with spit-up in their hair and milk stains
on their blouses and diapers in their purses.

For all the mothers who run carpools and
make cookies and sew Halloween costumes.
And all the mothers who DON'T.

This is for the mothers who gave birth to
babies they'll never see. And the mothers
who took those babies and gave them homes.

This is for the mothers whose priceless art
collections are hanging on their refrigerator doors.

And for all the mothers who froze their buns
on metal bleachers at football or soccer games
instead of watching from the warmth of their cars.

And that when their kids asked,
'Did you see me, Mom?'
they could say, 'Of course, I wouldn't
have missed it for the world,'and mean it.

This is for all the mothers who yell at their kids
in the grocery store and swat them in despair
when they stomp their feet and scream for ice cream before dinner.
And for all the mothers who count to ten instead,
but realize how child abuse happens.

This is for all the mothers who sat down with
their children and explained all about making
babies. And for all the (grand)mothers who
wanted to, but just couldn't find the words.

This is for all the mothers who go
hungry, so their children can eat.

For all the mothers who read 'Goodnight,
Moon' twice a night for a year. And then
read it again, 'Just one more time.'

This is for all the mothers who taught
their children to tie their shoelaces before
they started school. And for all the mothers
who opted for Velcro instead.

This is for all the mothers who teach their sons
to cook and their daughters to sink a jump shot.

This is for every mother whose head turns
automatically when a little voice calls 'Mom?'
in a crowd, even though they know their
own offspring are at home or even away
at collegeor have their own families.

This is for all the mothers who sent their kids
to school with stomach aches, assuring them
they'd be just FINE once they got there, only
to get calls from the school nurse an hour later
asking them to please pick them up. 'Right away!'

This is for mothers whose children have gone
astray, who can't find the words to reach them.
For all the mothers who bite their lips until they
bleed when their 14 year olds dye their hair green.

For all the mothers of the victims of
recent school shootings, and the mothers
of those who did the shooting.

For the mothers of the survivors,
and the mothers who sat in front of their TVs in horror,
hugging their child who just came home from school, safely.

This is for all the mothers who taught their
children to be peaceful, and now pray
they come home safely from a war.

This is for all mothers who have lost a son
or daughter in a war, or from an accident
or some sickness, and know the unspeakable
sadness and sorrow of such a loss.

What makes a good mother anyway?
Is it patience? Compassion? Broad hips?
The ability to nurse a baby, cook dinner, and
sew a button on a shirt, all at the same time?

Or is it in her heart?
Is it the ache she feels when she
watches her son or daughter disappear
down the street, walking to school alone
for the very first time?

The jolt that takes her from sleep to
dread, from bed to crib, at 2 A.M. to put
her hand on the back of a sleeping baby?

The panic, years later, that comes again
at 2 A.M.when she just wants to hear
their key in the door and know they
are safe again in her home?

Or the need to flee from wherever she is
and hug her child when she hears news
of a fire, a car accident, a child dying?

The emotions of motherhood are
universal and so our thoughts are for
young mothers stumbling through diaper
changes and sleep deprivation. ..
And for mature mothers learning to let go.

For working mothers and stay-at-home mothers;

single mothers and married mothers;
mothers with money, mothers without.

This is for you all. For all of us...

Hang in there. In the end we can
only do the best we can. Tell our children
every day that we love them. And pray
and never stop being a mother....

Join This Amazing Christian Cruise

Traveling to biblical places around the world is one of my greatest dreams.  Recently, my neighbor joined her church group in visiting the Vatican and other places you only get to hear in the Bible.  I am happy for her and at the same time jealous that I cannot afford to join trips like this.  I know I’m gonna step my feet on those places by joining one of these wonderful Christian Cruises someday.

I know most of us here share my interests about traveling especially on Bible Cruises with fellow believers.  If you are interested, there is a Christian Mediterranean Cruise that will start on July 18th this year in Athens, which is a really great opportunity for those who want to have an experience of a lifetime.  The group travels on board a privately chartered luxury yacht, where Bible teachings are regularly held.  Now, hold your breath while I enumerate the amazing places you get the chance to visit on this Christian Cruise.  As you start if off in Athens, you will have a tour of Mars Hill, Parthenon and more.  You will also visit Pergamum, Ephesus and the most beautiful island in the world – Santorini, to name a few.  Check out Living Passages for more details.  This is a rare opportunity you don’t wanna miss.  I am now starting to save money to realize a dream - to be in one of those Christian Mediterranean Cruises someday.

My monthly migraine kept me from blogging last night and it got me early to bed than usual.  I thought i would be fine when i get up without taking my migraine pill but i was wrong.  My migraine has gotten worse this morning, i didn't wanna go to work but i had some assignments that needed to be done at work.  I am fine now and trying to do some pending tasks before they expire.  For those who requested for link exchange, sorry if i didn't act on it right away but i promise to get back to you as soon as I can.  If your blog is on bravenet like mine, I can add you here no problem. But for those whose blogs are non-Bravejournal (blogspot, wordpress, etc.), I would love to add you up to my site but not on this blog as I have already reached the limit for non-Bravejournal links on this blog.  I can add you to my other blogs, if OK with you.  Let me know.  Thanks a lot for stopping by!

Do you get enough sleep?

Obviously, I dont!  When i wasn't working yet, i go to bed so late at night but get up almost noontime so i guess that was more than enough sleep i was getting.  Now that i am working, my sleeping schedule hardly changed but i have to get up before 7AM or else i will be late for work.  I couldn't get used to sleeping early although i always doze off to sleep while watching TV, or movie or even when i'm in front of my pc.  Obvioudly, i need more sleep to keep me awake while at work.  How about you?  try this test to see if you need more sleep.  I agree with my results 10000%, LOL!

You Don't Get Enough Sleep
You definitely don't get enough sleep, and it's turning you into a mental zombie!
You need to get more sleep, starting tonight if possible.
Avoid caffeine, keep a regular bedtime, don't watch TV before bed, and sleep in complete darkness.

Do It Yourself Logo Design

Choosing the right logo is very important in creating the right image for your business.  The logo adds personality to your business, it can help build your reputation or break it.  At work, we usually hire the services of an artist to make our logo but we supply ideas and make suggestions.  It is so hard to make a logo that can easily identify with your business especially for people like me who lack an artistic nor creative mind.  But the great news is:  anybody can actually make a logo fast and easy with the help of  LogoYes!  With it, I can make My Logo Design without paying somebody to do it.  You can even try their services in helping you create your own Logo Design for free!  Isn’t that a great offer?  Visit LogoYes and try to create your own logo based on your preferences.  See how it looks like when printed in business cards.  You can browse their Logo Design Examples to start with then slowly customize and create your own. You can watch the demo that will walk you through the process.   It is as simple as that.  With LogoYes, designing your own logo has never been so easy!

Who is going home tonight?

I am writing this post while waiting for the AI result in an hour.  Who do you think is going home tonight?  If i make a wild guess, it would be Jason or Brook White.  But it's just a guess, i know anything happens, sometimes America's vote is unpredictable at this time.  I personally like the latest performances of Syesha and of course David Cook has been consistently great.  Well, let's just watch and see!

Home of The Finest Art Collection

I envy people who have artistic talents.  They can easily turn a crap into an amazing work of art.  Unfortunately, I don’t have that talent.   One of my dreams is to have a collection of the best works of art that I can afford.  Hubby and I love to go to art exhibits especially if it’s within our area.  If you are like me who love fine arts, Park West Gallery has a vast collection of the world’s greatest fine arts; among them is the famous artist Jean- Claude Picot.  If you are interested with some of his works, you can see them featured at the Park West Gallery, known for its collection of fine arts.  It conducts fine art auctions in USA and Canada and also conducts cruise ship art auctions through its affiliate, Park West at Sea.  Check out with the schedule with Park West Gallery, if you are interested to catch one of these auctions.

Tag of Love....

It's been awhile since the last time i did tags that's why I wanna thank Redlan for this tag of love.
The RULE: Post 10 things that recently made you happy, then tag ten other people and spread the LOVE!

There are of course so many things that recently made me happy but here are 10 of them that I can remember:
10. I am happy for being able to help a cousin who is in financial need.
9. I am happy to have sent my mother a present for Mother’s Day.
8. I am happy for the opps that I was able to grab today at PPP.
7. I am happy for the work load that I get everyday which at least have been keeping me occupied.

6.  I am happy to see patients with happy dispositions in life despite their health problems.  They inspire me and make me feel so blessed.
5. I am happy that my Norton anti-virus caught that AWOLA virus that is trying to destroy my pc.
4. I am happy for having a wonderful husband who patiently fixes my lunch everyday with matching coffee in the morning.
3. I am happy to see my favorite tulips in different colors growing everywhere, on my way to and from work.
2. I am happy to chat with my kids online  and see them on cam and hear their voices.

1.  I am happy for the best of health that me and my family have.

But most of all, I am happy that God never ceases to show His love for me.

I am supposed to tag 10 people but I prefer to leave this tag open to all who wanna share theirs.  Thanks in advance!

Watch out for pinoy talent Charlie Green....

A 10-year old boy with an amazing talent has captured the hearts of the judges and the audience at Britain's Got Talents.  This kid is a son of a filipina from Cebu.  I just notice that Simon Cowel who is known for his mean comments to AI performances, is a lot nicer as one of the judges in the Britain competition, what do you think?  Well, here is another pinoy talent we can be proud of.  Isn't he a cutie?

It's a rainy Monday....

Just as I was about ready to wear skirts and spring dresses at work with matching sandals, here came the rain when i got up this Monday morning.  Got no choice but to wear my sweaters again as it was really chilly today.  I dunno but rain makes my day gloomy, it sure affects my mood.  How i wish i could just stay in bed all day when the weather is like this but i got to work!  I envy those who have all the luxury to stay in bed and don't have to work.  Life sucks, isn't it?  But don't get me wrong, i'm not complaining at all, having a job is a blessing and i am thankful for that!

Press Release:

Everyone knows the proverb: "Better late than never". But there are different situations when this principle doesn't work. If you are an experience credit card user, you are sure to know this. The fact is that time is money when it comes to credit card payments. Mind that your creditors want to get more money and they don't really care about your punctuality. That is why they set different default interest rates and late fees.
Frankly speaking, lenders want people to be late with their payments. So, they will be able to get more money from customers. If you are late with your payments, be ready to pay a large sum of money.
If you have only one plastic, the problem of making payments on time seems to be under control. However, if you have more than one credit card and they have different due dates, it will be quite easy to forget and miss a payments on one of these plastics. However, you can still manage all your credit cards. Fortunately there are a lot of tools such as email reminders, reminders in cell phones or credit spending planners that can be used for this purpose
Mind that late credit card payments can damage your credit score. If you are not sure whether this or that action can influence your credit score or not, visit special web-resources where you can ask questions about credit and get good credit card tips that will help you to manage your plastics in the right way.

Mothers' Day

I almost forgot that Mother's Day is just around the corner, my bad!  I just heard my officemates were talking about mother's day presents which got me thinking about mine.  Any great ideas for mother's day gifts that i could use?  I sent my mom 2 dozens of red and white roses before and boy was she thrilled! I guess i better just send her some cash as i wasn't able to prepare earlier. For those who have moms, a simple call or note that says how much you love them is already something your moms would really appreciate.  That is  priceless!  Don't forget your moms on Mother's Day, ok?  Don't say I didn't remind you because I just did!
